We offer a comprehensive array of health and wellness resources that not only care for you when you鈥檙e feeling unwell, but teach you how to be proactive in your self-care and learn lifelong skills related to healthy living, stress management and more. 

Student Wellness Center

A healthcare partnership with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, the Student Wellness Center is a fully integrated center providing accessible, confidential, high quality medical and mental health services to support the academic and general wellbeing of students.

DipCares Wellness Program

Many students face challenges during college that can interfere with their success. DipCares is a wellness program at F&M that directs you toward the supportive resources available to you, empowers you to seek them out and ask for help when needed, and ensures faculty and staff know how to help you if you鈥檙e distressed.

Mindfulness at F&M

Mindfulness at F&M is a program that works with students, faculty, and professional staff to promote well-being, compassion and a renewed sense of awareness across campus. In recognizing the benefits that cultivating a mindfulness practice can bring, Mindfulness at F&M offers workshops and opportunities including yoga, nature walks, a book club, day trips, overnight retreats, and more.

Student Accessibility Services

The Office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works with students who have disabilities to determine reasonable accommodations and ensure that they have equal access to all aspects of their education. Accommodations may include academic, dining, and housing needs.

Student Wellness Education and Violence Prevention

The Office of Wellness Education and Violence Prevention (WE-VP) at F&M provides education and resources for the campus community on topics such as sexual and relationship violence, healthy relationships, mental health, bystander intervention, sexual health, and much more.

Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal government. F&M鈥檚 Title IX office works to ensure the College鈥檚 compliance with this fundamental law and fosters a living, learning and working environment free of discrimination and harassment.

Fitness & Recreation

Engaging in regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your overall health. With our recreation facilities, club and intramural sports, fitness classes and more, you鈥檒l find a good way to work up a healthy sweat while learning lessons in leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

Fitness Classes

The Department of Athletics & Recreation provides fitness and recreation opportunities to the F&M community that promotes a healthy lifestyle, relieves stress, and encourages positive social interaction. Fitness classes can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid, and include yoga, strength training, swim lessons, water polo, Barre, and more.

Club Sports

Club sports are a variety of traditional and non-traditional activities that compete in leagues and tournaments against other club teams from colleges and universities from around the region and country. F&M club sports include equestrian, ice hockey, men鈥檚 rugby, women鈥檚 rugby, men鈥檚 soccer, women鈥檚 soccer, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball.

Intramurals

Intramurals (IMs) are a collection of one-day tournaments, special events, and leagues that encourage collegiate competition between F&M student-organized teams. All current students, faculty and professional staff are eligible to participate in IM activities. Varsity athletes who are currently in season are not eligible to participate in leagues but are able to participate in any one-day tournament or special events. IMs vary in their competitiveness from activity to activity and from team to team. Examples of IMs include basketball, bocce, cornhole, dodgeball, flag football, pickleball, soccer, and spikeball.

Alumni Sports and Fitness Center (ASFC)

Commonly known as the ASFC, the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center offers a field house with a suspended indoor track, aquatics center and fitness center.

Mayser Center

Mayser Center is the hub of Franklin & 果冻APP传媒 athletics. The building is home to the department鈥檚 administrative offices, locker rooms, sports medicine and rehabilitation rooms, and the equipment room. The building services over 600 athletes competing in 28 sports each academic year. Mayser Center also features a gymnasium, squash courts, and the Roy Phillips 鈥34 Wrestling Room.

Diplomat Strength Center

The Diplomat Strength Center is the strength and conditioning home for the Diplomat varsity athletic teams. It is also available to the rest of the student body, faculty and staff members. The Diplomat Strength Center was remodeled in the summer of 2023 and outfitted with the latest line of strength equipment from Dynamic Strength and Fitness.

We embrace the educational value of competitive sports and structure our athletic programs to maximize their contribution to student development. We view the athletic experience as a framework for helping students maximize learning and success in all aspects of college life and beyond.

F&M鈥檚 Department of Public Safety (DPS) is an accredited law-enforcement agency on campus committed to making the F&M community a safe one for living and learning. The team works 24 hours a day to maintain a safe atmosphere for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

F&M Emergency Medical Service (EMS) is a Basic Life Support (BLS) unit licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The team provides emergency response to the members of the F&M and surrounding Lancaster City community.

Workplace Safety Committee

The Workplace Safety Committee coordinates, assesses, and responds to campus safety issues. Their purpose is to reduce the risk of work-related injuries/illnesses while promoting a positive and proactive safety culture.
